Zombie Popularity Increases: The Walking Dead

The show is based on a series of comic books by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard. The Walking Dead first aired in America on October 31st, 2010, and now airs every Sunday at 9:00 ET. During the first week of November, 2010, The Walking Dead was aired worldwide. The series has recieved many awards including a Writers Guild of America Award nomination and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Television Series Drama. After just 3 seasons, The Walking Dead has beaten a variety of records for a cable series. During the premiere of the 3rd season, over 10.9 million viewers tuned in to watch, making it the most-watched cable drama in history. This series has a variety of viewers ranging from all ages.
